The Arizona Cardinals announced the trade they agreed to with the Houston Texans, sending them receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. They got less in return than originally reported.
It was originally reported that the Cardinals agreed to send Harrison and a seventh-round pick in 2027 to the Texans in exchange for a second-round pick and sixth-round pick, both in 2027.
That wasn't the case. The Cardinals sent Harrison and a sixth-round pick for the Texans' second-round and seventh-round pick.
Instead of the Cardinals getting a second-round pick and a little extra, they were the ones having to sweeten the deal to get the second-round pick. They get a pick in Round 2, but they have to move down a round on Day 3.
The deal is pending a physical.
Obviously, the
small detail dampens how the deal is viewed, but it is done and now we move forward.
