The Arizona Cardinals hope to continue the success they have had in recent years over the Dallas Cowboys. They play the Cowboys on the road on Sunday, having beaten them in four straight meetings and in eight of their last nine.
However, to get a win today after having lost five of their last six games, here is what they must do.
These are the Cardinals' keys to victory.
Big game from Jeremiyah Love, run game
The Cowboys have a bad run defense, allowing 4.7 yards per attempt. The Cardinals are built to be a good running team, but they haven't been this season. However, Love returns after a two-game absence. A healthy Love could make for big plays. If he is running well, the offense will stay on the field and be able to finish drives.
Score TDs in the red zone
The Cardinals have only one touchdown in their last
10 red-zone trips, and that touchdown came after they were trailing by three scores last week.
The offense has moved the ball well. It just has not been finding the end zone.
Don't get into a shootout
The Cardinals can't afford to get in a back-and-forth with the Cowboys. The Cowboys have a similar offensive attack to the Detroit Lions, who scored on seven straight possessions.
The Cardinals will have to slow the game down and maintain long drives to win. If the game total reaches the 50s, the Cardinals will lose.
