Against the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy passed for 297 yards and four touchdowns without a turnover in a 36-30 win. It wasn't enough to be named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
After winning it for his Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins when he passed for 287 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for a score in a 35-13 win, his even better game was spurned. Instead, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson earned the weekly NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
In a 35-14 win over the Green Bay Packers last Thursday, Robinson had 213 yards from scrimmage, rushing for 194 yards and two touchdowns.
He became the first player in NFL history with at least 150 scrimmage yards
and one touchdown in five straight road games. He also became the first player in NFL history with at least 200 scrimmage yards and one touchdown in consecutive primetime games.
It was the third time in his career he earned the player of the week honors.
