What have the 49ers done so far this season?

49ers through 2 weeks

The Niners have won both their games. They beat the LA Rams 28-7 in Australia in Week 1. QB Brock Purdy threw three touchdown passes, and the defense did not allow Matthew Stafford to throw a TD pass.

They followed that up in Week 2 with a 35-13 win over the Miami Dolphins. Purdy threw two more touchdown passes and rushed for another. They scored touchdowns on their first five possessions and didn't allow the Dolphins into the end zone until Miami's

final possession, already down 35-6 in garbage time.

49ers on offense

They have been great. Between the third quarter of their Week 1 win and the third quarter of Sunday's win, they scored on seven of eight possessions, including six touchdowns.

Purdy has five touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown, with one interception in two games. He has a completion percentage of 80.4%, which leads the league.

Running back Christian McCaffrey has started the season slowly. He has 91 rushing yards and two touchdowns in two games. He has caught nine passes for 63 yards.

He, Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel all have nine catches to lead the team, although Evan injured his hip on Sunday.

49ers on defense

They are eighth in the league in yards allowed and third in points allowed. So far, they have been great on third down, allowing only a 37.5% conversion rate, and in the red zone, allowing only one touchdown in five red zone trips by opponents.

They have four sacks through two games and two takeaways.

It's going to be a tough matchup for the Cardinals on Sunday.
