In the Arizona Cardinals' 42-38 loss to the Green Bay Packers, 22 players participated in at least one of the 59 defensive snaps, and 38 players participated in at least one of the 34 special teams snaps.

Spears, who played for Orlando in the UFL, wasn’t signed by the Cardinals until Aug. 15, but contributed two solo tackles (one for loss) and also had a forced fumble that resulted in the team’s only takeaway. Jonah Williams also had a solo tackle.

In a push for a roster spot, Ojulari had 1.5 sacks for 16.5 yards while adding four tackles (two solo/one for loss) and two quarterback
hits. Sharar had five tackles (three solo/one for loss). Pappoe, who played every snap plus 20 on special teams, had four tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed on a deflection. Robertson had three tackles (two solo) and a QB hit. Leota continued his strong summer with a half-sack, two QB hits and two tackles (one solo). Brown has also made plays. He had one sack, a tackle for loss, QB hit and pass defensed. Asante had four solo tackles.

Jones tied for the team lead with five tackles (four solo). Thomas had two solo tackles, a fumble recovery and pass defensed. Culp had three solo tackles, but failed to wrap up wide receiver Kisean Johnson on the game-winning 10-yard touchdown reception.

Ryland hit all three of his chip-shot field-goal attempts of 25, 27 and 35 yards. All of his seven kickoffs were touchbacks. Gillikin didn’t punt for the second consecutive game because of a groin injury, but was the holder for Ryland’s three field goals and three extra points.
Browning’s three punts averaged 46.0 yards, but he a net of only 19.0 thanks to the 81-yard punt-return touchdown. Aside from Fairweather being screened away from returner Will Sheppard, Oliver missed a chance to make the tackle or at least slow Sheppard down. He did have the team’s only special-teams tackle after a Browning punt.
Smith-Marsette had two kickoff returns for 44 yards and three punt returns for only nine yards. Wallace had three kickoff returns for 18 yards, including one for 33, and also had one punt return for eight yards.
