The Arizona Cardinals opened their practice week Wednesday for Sunday’s game in San Francisco against the 49ers and released their first injury report of the week.
Cornerback Will Johnson was placed on injured reserve because of a neck injury suffered against the Seahawks and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Starling Thomas V, who missed the 2025 season with a torn ACL, was signed to the roster from the practice squad.
Right guard Isaiah Adams, who didn’t practice in the lead-up to Week 1 and was limited last week, is not on the report. He played all 50 snaps against Seattle.

Lopez played last Sunday
despite being affected by the injury in practice last week. Melton was limited last week because of an ankle injury and then left the game against the Seahawks with the injured toe. Seumalo had a shoulder injury last week and played all 50 snaps against the Seahawks. He is not listed. Taylor-Demerson played on Sunday after recovering from an injury to his ribs, but now has a back issue.

- *CB Garrett Williams (Achilles)
- *ILB Mack Wilson Sr. (not injury-related/thumb)
It’s unknown when Froholdt was injured, either in the game against Seattle or in practice Wednesday. Williams has missed the first two games of the season as he fully recovers from the Achilles injury suffered last December. With Johnson out, it could accelerate Williams’ return to the field.
Wilson injured his thumb during the game Sunday, but missed only five snaps.

During the second half of Sunday’s TV broadcast, analyst Mark Schlereth said it appeared that Brissett was moving gingerly and might have something going on. Nothing was said after the game or during media sessions Monday and Wednesday (before practice).
