The Arizona Cardinals suffered two first-half injuries to starters who would not return against the New York Giants.
In the first quarter, when Malik Nabers went up and made a 39-yard catch and then left the game briefly, Wingard also got hurt. His knee buckled coming down from going up to get the football, and he was taken to the locker room.
He was ruled out for the rest of the game in the second half.
Starting right guard Isaiah Adams was bowled over by Giants defensive lineman C.J. Okoye toward the end of the first half for a sack, and he had to leave with an ankle injury. He was also ruled out in the second half.
Rookie safety Wydett Williams replaced Wingard in the lineup defensively, and guard Jon Gaines took over at right guard for Adams
on offense.
