The Arizona Cardinals lost on Sunday 31-7 to the Seattle Seahawks. They also had a pair of defensive starters get hurt.
Already down cornerback Garrett Williams, who is on his way back from a torn Achilles, cornerback Max Melton was taken to the locker room with what was announced as a toe injury a week after he was dealing with an ankle injury, and cornerback Will Johnson left the game with a neck injury.
After the game, head coach Mike LaFleur didn't have a lot to say about the injuries. He indicated that Melton's injury is to his foot.
“I don't think (they are serious), but we'll find out a little bit (more) tomorrow," he said postgame. "They looked at me in the eyes and said, 'I'm good,' but sometimes the adrenaline's rolling and then you wake
up the next morning — they see the trainers right now as it's kind of going down and sometimes you feel some type of way."
Losing either one of them for any amount of time will challenge the depth. If Garrett Williams can return, then things are a little better. But injuries continue to be a problem for the Cardinals.
