One of the surprises of Week 1 was how the LA Rams lost to the San Francisco 49ers. They lost 27-7 last Thursday in Melbourne, Australia. One thing that stood out was the lack of dominance by pass rusher Myles Garrett, the Rams' hugs offseason acquisition.
He did not log a defensive stat.
Now he will miss at least the next four weeks, as he is having arthroscopic knee surgery to solve some swelling and pain he has been dealing with since training camp.
The earliest he can come back is in Week 6, when the Arizona Cardinals face the Rams on the road.
Lucky Cardinals.
Of course, that is the earliest Garrett can return. It is perhpas possible he misses more time, although that is not expected. But he will have only been able to have practiced a maximum
of three times.
The Cardinals are facing the Seattle Seahawks this week without Seattle starting QB Sam Darnold, who is out with a hip injury. Could they play the Rams without Garrett? We will know in four weeks.
