How do we know that the Arizona Cardinals play in one of the best divisions in football? We can simply look at the Week 1 NFL schedule.
Three of the four teams in the division are featured in the first two games of the year on national television.
The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks
open the season at home in a rematch against the New England Patriots. That game is Wednesday night on NBC. It is only game on TV.The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams play each other in the first-ever NFL game in Melbourne, Australia, on Thursday. That game will stream on Netflix.
Again, there is no other game to compete with it.
The Cardinals, though, are a different story. They are buried in regional coverage on Sunday on CBS, running opposite the big
game of the time slot — the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.
The Seahawks, Rams and 49ers all won more than 10 games last season. All made the postseason and all had at least one playoff win. The Seahawks are the defending champions. The Rams are this year's Super Bowl favorites. The 49ers have high aspirations, too.
The Cardinals are not yet on their same level, and it shows.
