What is the story about?
Every
year following final cuts, the Arizona Cardinals see changes to player uniform numbers. This has happened again.
Following many players being cut, a few players swapped out their numbers for new ones.
These are the changes on the active roster.
- Safety Andrew Wingard is now No. 28, previously No. 27. Elijah Jones had No. 28 before.
- Receiver Jalen Brooks, who had No. 86 in the preseason and offseason, now has No. 83.
- Tight end Hunter Long, new to the team, has No. 89.
On the practice squad, a few guys made changes.
- Running back Evan Hull, who wore No. 43 in the preseason, now wears No. 26.
- Tight end Shawn Bowman, who wore No. 48 in the preseason, now wears No. 44
- Receiver Ihmir-Smith Marsette now has No. 86 after having No. 9.
