What is the story about?

The Arizona Cardinals are preparing to take on the New York Giants on the road in Week 4. As they do almost every Tuesday, they released their latest depth chart.

There weren't many changes, but there were changes, partially for roster moves and partially for usage.

What is new or interesting with the depth chart?

Jeremiyah Love still listed at No. 2

Tyler Allgeier is still listed as the No. 1 running back. Based on playing time and usage in Week 3, that could change soon. Love started against the San Francisco 49ers. He played 56 snaps to Allgeier's 31. Love had 26 total touches (21 rushes, five receptions). Allgeier had six (two rushes, four catches).

This could be a week-to-week thing, or it might be signalling a change.

Cornerbacks changing

Will Johnson landed on injured reserve. That meant that Denzel

Burke, who was the No. 1 slot cornerback, moved to the boundary and Garrett Williams returned to the starting lineup at nickel. Star Thomas, new to the roster, is behind Burke on one side. Kalen King is now the backup nickel.

Kick returner correction

For the first three weeks, cornerback Max Melton and Love have been the two returners behind the top guy, Devin Duvernay. Neither has been back for a kick return. Through three weeks, it has been Jalen Brooks with Duvernay back deep. That change was reflected. Brooks is now the No. 2 guy, Melton is not listed, and Love is still listed at No. 3, even though if Brooks or Duvernay got hurt, it would likely be Bam Knight getting the actual playing time.

OLB update

Zaven Collins and Baron Browning are listed as co-starters opposite Josh Sweat. Collins started the first game. Browning started the last two. They played the same number of snaps in Week 1. The last two weeks have seen Browning get more snaps than Collins. Against the 49ers, Browning got 27 to Collins' 23.
