The Arizona Cardinals catch a second break in Week 4 in their road game against the New York Giants. The Giants have already lost starting quarterback Jaxson Dart for at least the rest of the regular season with a knee injury.

Now tjhey have lost their top pass rusher.

Pass rusher Brian Burns suffered a torn ACL on Sunday in the Giants' 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans. He will have surgery and miss the rest of the season.

He had not logged a sack in three games this season, but he had 16.5 sacks, 31 quarterback hits and 22 tackles for loss in 2025, making the Pro Bowl for the third time and being named as a second-team All-Pro for the first time.

In four career games against the Cardinals, all while with the Carolina Panthers, Burns had two sacks,

six quarterback hits and five tackles for loss.

The Cardinals and Giants kick off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. Arizona time) at MetLife Stadium. The Giants are 2-1, and the Cardinals are 1-2. They make their first East Coast trip of the season.

Even without Burns, the Giants have a formidable edge presence with 2025 first-round pick Abdul Carter, who has a sack this season, and Kayvon Thibodeaux, a former first-round pick who had 11.5 sacks in 2023.

Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett has been sacked five times in three games so far this season.
