The Arizona Cardinals are moving on from wide receiver Marvin Harrison. According to Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals are finalizing a deal to trade Harrison and he will not be active on Sunday when the Cardinals face the Detroit Lions while the final details of the deal are ironed out.
The team involved was not reported.
Harrison, drafted fourth overall by the Cardinals in 2024, has only been targeted 13 times this season in four game and has five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown.
There has been chatter about how much he is valued by the new coaching staff.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Cardinals were seeking at least a second-round draft pick and more.
Now that Harrison is not going to play against the Lions, it means that Jalen
Brooks, Simi Fehoko and or Reggie Virgil will get more offensive opportunities.
A trade will save more than $4 million in cap space this season but will carry more than $5.6 million in dead money this year and next year.
We will see what team will acquire Harrison and how much the Cardinals get back in return.
