The Arizona Cardinals' next opponents are the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6. They face them Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET (1:05 p.m. Arizona time) in SoFi Stadium.
They will face an angry, desperate Rams team.
The Rams were Super Bowl favorites entering the season, but they are 2-3 after five games and in third place in the NFC West. They are coming off a 37-34 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The Rams played Monday night, and Matthew Stafford passed for 383 yards and three touchdowns. He now leads the NFL in passing yards with 1,572. Receiver Puka Nacua is healthy and was unstoppable against the Bills. He caught 17 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown.
They had 454 yards of offense and went 7-for-14 on third down, but they lost the game after the Bills
blocked Harrison Mevis' 48-yard field goal that would have ended the game in overtime. Linebacker Nathan Landman had forced Bills running back James Cook to fumble, giving the Rams the ball. The Bills went on to kick a game-winning 45-yard field goal.
So when the Cardinals face the Rams, they need to be ready for a team angry about its last loss and desperate to get things on track for the expectations they have this season.
The Rams are 13-point favorites to start the week, if that is any indication of how this week's game is expected to go.
