In the Arizona Cardinals' 36-24 loss to the New York Giants, 20 players participated in at least one of the 67 defensive snaps and 34 participated in at least one of the 29 special teams snaps.
Safety Andrew Wingard played only three snaps because of a knee injury, but head coach Mike LaFleur said Monday it wasn’t as bad as they thought Sunday.

Defensive linemen

The line combined for four tackles for loss on a very good day stopping the Giants' ground game. Lopez was third on the team with six tackles (two solo/one for loss). Nolen had a sack and a quarterback hit,
plus four tackles (three solo/two for loss). Robinson had a 10-yard sack, a QB hit and four tackles (two solo/one for loss). In his first game action of the season, Billings had two solo tackles. Stills had two assisted tackles and two QB hits. Collier had an assisted tackle, but drew a facemask penalty that negated a sack of Giants quarterback Jameis Winston.
Linebackers

Gibbens led the team with eight tackles (three solo), while Wilson was second on the team with seven tackles (four solo/one for loss) and a forced fumble. Sweat, who was added to the injury report because of a groin injury on Friday, had a sack and two QB hits, plus four tackles (three solo/one for loss). Collins had a sack, a fumble recovery and QB hit, plus three tackles (one solo/one for loss). Browning had one solo tackle and Leota had one assisted tackle.

The loss of Wingard after only three snaps forced undrafted rookie Wydett Williams Jr. to play 64 snaps. Wingard had one solo tackle in his brief action, while Williams had four tackles/two solo). Baker had an interception and two passes defensed, plus five tackles (two solo). Melton had four tackles (two solo), Garrett Williams three solo tackles and a pass defensed and Burke an interception, pass defensed and two tackles (one solo).

Ryland hit his longest field goal with the Cardinals, a 60-yarder as time expired in the first half. Gillikin continued to struggle with a 43.2-yard average on six punts with a 38.7 net. Two of his punts traveled only 37 yards.
Duvernay had a 39-yard kickoff return and 12-yard punt return, but allowed a late punt to bounce at the 15-yard line and be downed at the 3-yard line. Brooks returned six kickoffs for a 26.2-yard average including one for 37 yards.
The coverage allowed a 55-yard kickoff return by Tyrone Tracy that led to a field goal.
