It is another season-ending injury for Arizona Cardinals left tackle Paris Johnson. He suffered a biceps injury at the end of the Cardinals' 36-24 loss to the New York Giants, and it is a worst-case scenario.
Head coach Mike LaFleur told reporters Monday that Johnson tore his biceps, will be placed on injured reserve and will be out for the season. He will need surgery.
It is the third consecutive season in which he has ended the season hurt. He played every snap as a rookie at right tackle in 2023, but he ended the last two seasons on injured reserve with knee injuries. He missed the final three games of 2024 and the final five of 2025. He will miss the final 13 games of 2026.
Johnson is under contract for 2027 under the fifth-year team option
the Cardinals exercised in the offseason. He will make just over $19 million next year.
With Johnson out the rest of the season, rookie seventh-round pick Jayden Williams will likely replace him in the starting lineup moving forward.
We will see the Cardinals make roster moves later this week, as early as Wednesday.
