(6-1, 3-1 Big Ten) remain in the College Football Playoff conversation, but they lost their toughest test in a home game against Oregon and a backup quarterback. They had a bye after their road win over Penn State, and now, they head back east to take on the Wisconsin Badgers (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten).The Badgers are clearly markedly improved this season under embattled coach Luke Fickell, but their upset bid against UCLA came short despite an elite defensive performance last week.

USC's offense is as good as you'd expect under Lincoln Riley, but once again, the defense is simply a disaster despite hiring a new coordinator in longtime TCU head coach Gary Patterson. That opens the door for Wisconsin, which has a legitimately good defense and shut down UCLA's fantastic rushing attack last week.
The Badgers simply couldn't score on the other end to pay it off against a stingy Bruins defense, but that could be a different story this week. I expect Colton Joseph and Co. to put some points on the board in this one, and playing at home against a USC program that has had its issues while traveling east in Big Ten play, I think Wisconsin is primed to pull off the upset here.
