Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes have landed another five-star, securing a commitment from wide receiver Brysen Wright on Thursday.
The Jacksonville product was a member of the 2028 recruiting class, but he also announced that he is reclassifying and joining Miami's 2027 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder picked the Hurricanes over the Florida Gators and Texas Longhorns.
Wright is ranked as the No. 26 overall player and No. 4 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite. He is the No. 4 player from Florida.
He has done it all at the high school level, starting all three years at Mandarin High School. In 33 games, he has caught 121 passes for 2,592 yards and 29 touchdowns. While he will play wideout for the Hurricanes, he has played
defensive back and excelled, recording 81 tackles, seven interceptions, and eight pass breakups in 22 games.
His addition gives Miami 21 commits overall, six of whom are five-star prospects. 247Sports now ranks its recruiting class as the 2nd best in the country and the best in the SEC. In addition to Wright, they also hold commitments from five-star cornerback Donte Wright, five-star athlete A'Mir Sears, five-star wide receiver Nick Lennear, five-star edge Jaiden Bryant, and five-star quarterback Israel Abrams.
