Week 9 of the College Football season intersects with the Halloween weekend, with many teams playing on the spooky holiday. The festivities end with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets heading on the road to face the Pitt Panthers.
Georgia Tech (2-5) has been on the struggle bus all season. They've lost in close games to Colorado and Stanford, suffered blowout losses against Tennessee and Boston College, and couldn't find consistency vs. Virginia Tech. The last week against Boston College was just awful; they gave up 399 yards to a team that had lost their starting running back for the season.
Pitt (5-3)has fallen almost all the way down after soaring high with a 5-0 record. They lost starting quarterback Mason Heintschel for the season, and they
haven't looked the same since then. They've been flipping from redshirt senior Holden Geriner and true freshman Corey Dailey, and they've failed to get a win against UNC, Boston College, and Miami. The Hurricanes loss was ugly, as they lost 52-23.

Georgia Tech vs. Pitt prediction, pick:
The Pitt offense could get a major get-right game here. They're going against a Georgia Tech defense that allowed 399 yards on the ground to Boston College. Ja'Kyrian Turner could get a big role in this: he had 200 yards and a touchdown against Georgia Tech the last time the Panthers faced the Yellow Jackets. They will also dominate in the running game, since they have the best run defense in the league
Georgia Tech has a good enough quarterback and passing game to take advantage a bit of Pitt's rough secondary, but they've had trouble getting the job done in the red zone. Pitt is just ok, but that's better.
At the end of the day, even with Pitt's quarterback struggles, Georgia Tech is in a freefall, and I don't know if a hostile environment will help to change that. Give me Pitt.
Score Prediction: Pitt 24, Georgia Tech 17
Best Bet: Under 54.5
