The Dukes were ransacked in the transfer market after their historic season, but another underdog story could be in the works if Napier finds the right player under center for the duration of the 2026 season.
The Dukes have been coy about naming who their starter will be throughout the offseason, and Liberty has had their own quarterback battle. The Flames appear to be turning the page on Ethan Vasko, who threw 12 interceptions in 2025. Jaylen Henderson or Deshawn Purdle should have ample opportunity to show what they can do under center this season.
