The Alabama Crimson Tide will be without star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams for the foreseeable future. After dealing with a meniscus injury over the last few weeks, he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, according to ESPN's Katie George.
Coleman-Williams played in Alabama's game against the Georgia Bulldogs last week, but left early after suffering a head injury, in addition to the knee injury. He was also set to miss Saturday's game against the Tennessee Volunteers, but his status is now in doubt for their game next week against the Texas A&M Aggies and LSU Tigers, which comes after a bye.
He has been Alabama's leading wide receiver all season, catching 23 passes for 415 yards and four touchdowns. It has been a bounceback season for Coleman-Williams,
who was named a freshman All-American after catching 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. He finished his sophomore season with 49 catches for 689 yards and four touchdowns.
Look for Alabama to lean on wide receivers Lotzeir Brooks and Rico Scott during his absence. Brooks is having a breakout sophomore season, catching 23 passes for 389 yards and one touchdown. Scott has 18 receptions for 224 yards and three touchdowns.
