We now have a complete picture of what the 2026 college football preseason polls will look like.
The initial USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll was released earlier this month, and on Monday, we got our first look at the preseason AP Top 25. Unsurprisingly, there are quite a few similarities between the two.
Ohio State also leads the way in the preseason AP poll, followed by Oregon at No. 2 and Georgia at No. 3. The polls diverge with the remainder of the top five, however, with Notre Dame coming in at No. 4 and Texas at No. 5 in the AP, a reversal of the coaches' order.
There weren't massive differences elsewhere in the poll, though there are some discrepancies from the media voters. They're a bit higher on LSU, for example, as the Tigers rank No.
11 compared to No. 13 in the coaches poll, sitting ahead of both Texas Tech and Alabama.
The media is also slightly higher on No. 17 Washington and is lower on Clemson, which snuck into the coaches poll but is currently the highest among teams receiving votes. Its spot in the top 25 was taken by conference foe Louisville.
Like the coaches poll, no Group of Six teams appear in the AP Top 25. Boise State, which received 43 votes, sits behind Clemson and Florida as the third-highest member of the "receiving votes" category.
Here's the full preseason AP Top 25.
