After a surprisingly successful second season of their transition from Division II in which they finished 8-3 and ranked in the top 25, the West Georgia Wolves look to build upon that success as they open the year against Chattanooga at home.
The Mocs are coming off the first losing season in seven years under Rusty Wright, finishing 5-7 last fall.

Unfortunately for the Wolves, there's a lot of new pieces
in town this fall. Coach Joel Taylor left for Mercer, and new coach Steve Englehart from Presbyterian brought quite a few of his own players to supplement heavy portal losses.
Chattanooga has quite a bit of turnover of its own, and it doesn't return much on offense outside of starting quarterback Battle Alberson. The defense brings back more production, but this feels like a tricky opening test on the road. I'm surprised the Mocs are favored.
