It's looking like a tough Year 1 for Fitzgerald as the Spartans have lost four games in a row, including a one-point overtime heartbreaker at home against Illinois last week.

offense is working wonders for Northwestern. He has unlocked some really good play from former Spartans quarterback Aidan Chiles, and though the run game hasn't been quite as good, that's coming along as well after the Wildcats rushed for over 400 yards on Penn State.
Even with an average defense, I still think Northwestern can roll in this game. Michigan State doesn't have much going for it, and its best player — running back Cam Edwards — is out for the remainder of the season. Given the defense's struggles against the pass, I'm not sure how the Spartans are going to slow down the Wildcat offense.
