It's not surprising given their record, but neither program has received strong play from their quarterback. Washington State's Caden Pinnick has thrown three touchdowns
and five interceptions this season, while Utah State's Grady Brosterhous has thrown six touchdowns and six interceptions. McCae Hillstead hasn't done much better for the Aggies when he's been under center; he's thrown two touchdowns and four interceptions.
Given the profile of both schools' passers, turnovers figure to be a major part of this game, and it wouldn't be surprising if a pick-six or giveaway deep in a team's own territory decides the outcome here.
Utah State's leading receiver is Eli Wood, whose 30 receptions are 18 more than the next closest teammate. It wouldn't be surprising if the Cougars shaded coverage or flat-out double teamed him to force someone else to beat them. If Pinnick can limit the turnovers, the Cougars and their balanced passing attack should have a great shot to come away with a road win.
