The Bruins have a built-in narrative if they stumble the rest of the way, as the "tale of two seasons" storyline writes itself after quarterback Nico Iamaleava went down with a season-ending injury. With that said, UCLA has move forward impressively with Ty Dieffenbach under center, and there could be a little Nick Foles-like potential here if things continue on this trajectory.

One major reason why UCLA can continue to have success regardless of who is under center is the play of running back Wayne Knight, who leads the conference in rushing scores with 12. Fellow backfield mate Anthony Woods has also been exceptional, as he leads the conference in yards per carry.
The Golden Gophers are a middle of the pack team in the Big Ten when it comes to stopping the run, but they will likely have to commit an extra defender in the box in hopes of slowing the Bruins' powerful running game.
Minnesota is more of a jack of all trades, master of none type of team, but that's been good enough to keep them in many games, if not outright win them. They've had very little success running the football however, so if they are going to pull off the upset, Drake Lindsey is going to need to make a big throw or two to bring them to glory.
