Dae'Quan Wright isn't the only former Ole Miss player LSU is looking to add ahead of the 2026 season.
Wright is reportedly set to join the Tigers if he clears waivers after the Cleveland Browns cut him during training camp. That decision came after an injunction that granted fifth years to several players who had signed deals with NFL teams after going undrafted.
Now, defensive lineman Zxavian Harris, who played for Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss, is set to follow in Wright's footsteps and committed to LSU on Monday.
The 6-foot-7, 320-pound interior lineman went undrafted this past spring after four years in Oxford, signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. The Saints waived Harris on Aug. 8.

Like Wright, Harris could face some challenges before he sees the field in Baton Rouge. SEC bylaws prevent players from transferring within the conference outside of the primary winter transfer portal window.
Greg Sankey has urged SEC schools to follow the league's eligibility rules, and whether they will be enforced against players like Wright and Harris, who last played for a different school in the conference, remains to be seen.
