The Hoosiers and their fans have been able to celebrate their national championship victory throughout the offseason after decades of futile play on the gridiron. No. 6 Indiana is set to commemoratetheir historic 2025 campaign by unveiling permanent signage at their home stadium that is sure to get supporters riled up.
Of course, with all the pomp and circumstance planned, the Hoosiers still have a football game to play against North Texas out of the AAC. The Mean Green had a strong year in their own right in 2025, finishing 12-2 and 7-1 in conference.

North Texas vs. Indiana prediction, pick:
North Texas head
coach Neal Brown steps into his first season with the Mean Green, hoping to level the program up from good to great. He finished 37-35 in six seasons with West Virginia and is hoping his team can hang with the defending national champions.
From the Hoosiers' point of view, all eyes will be on transfer quarterback Josh Hoover, who has enormous shoes to fill after the departure of Fernando Mendoza. Hoover had some solid seasons at TCU, but did lead the Big 12 in interceptions a year ago. Head coach Curt Cignetti is likely looking for Hoover to protect the football during this game, and for the duration of a season in which the Hoosiers have a chance to win another national title.
There's a classic narrative here where Indiana overlooks North Texas during the pomp and circumstance of celebrating their national title, but North Texas lost its top quarterback, running back and wide receiver this offseason, all of whom led the AAC in passing yards, rushing yards and receiving yards in 2025. This makes the prospect of a closer game harder to fathom.
