Aazaar Abdul-Rahim is Maryland's interim head coach who hopes to give the Terrapins a little bit of life as they head into an uncertain offseason in a few weeks. Whether it's been under the recently fired Mike Locksley or Abdul-Rahim, Maryland has not been able to find an answer in close games recently.
The Terrapins fell 37-30 in Locksley's final game against Rutgers, and could not make plays when it mattered most in their loss to Illinois 20-17 a week ago. It'll be interesting to see if that changes against Purdue.

The Boilermakers are coming off a two-touchdown defeat
at Penn State last week, which was proceeded by a 38-28 loss against Washington. Their defense has been porous, to say the least. They've allowed the second most rushing yards in the conference, and the second most passing yards.
That sets Maryland quarterback Malik Washington up well in this game, but he's struggled with turnovers. Washington leads the conference in interceptions with seven, which could negate positive drives even if the Boilermakers are allowing yards by the bunch.
While there's an understandable argument to be made about the combined score hitting the over, it seems like the two schools are more likely to play a contest that is closer to the vest offensively.
