Temple head coach K.C. Keeler might not have to look any further than last week's game between Western Michigan and Michigan to find inspiration for his players to push for an in-state upset.
The main difference for the Owls at this point appears to be a lack of identity on offense. Keeler and the Owls deployed both Ajani Sheppard and Jaxon Smolik at quarterback last week in a 38-14 victory over Rhode Island. While the results worked in their favor against the Rams, it is going to be interesting to see if that balancing act will pay dividends against a Penn State team that pitched a shutout last week against Marshall.

The identity that the Owls might be searching for might be in the person of Keveun Mason, the running back to rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns last week. Rushing lanes aren't likely to be as plentiful against the Nittany Lions though.
Penn State completely dominated Marshall last week in every possible facet of the game. The Nittany Lions stopped the run, and three of their running backs rushed for at least 38 yards. Quarterback Rocco Becht threw for 271 yards and four touchdowns as well.
Unless the element of uncertainty surprises Penn State, this figures to be another game with the Nittany Lions handle their business comfortably.
