Simply put, the DJ Lagway who threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns last week is the player the Bears
hoped they would be getting in the transfer portal. Lagway has mostly been mediocre at best, but it'll be interesting to see if he individually and the offense as a whole have actually turned a corner.
Iowa State's Jaylen Raynor also showed out in the shootout against the Cowboys last week, throwing for over 300 yards and three touchdowns, while also adding a rushing touchdown.
It's difficult to judge exactly what type of Baylor team is going to show up in game two of the Klanderman era, but the fact that they are nearly 10-point favorites after their rough prolonged start feels like of points. The Cyclones should be able to cover in this game if Baylor reverts closer to what their mean might be.
