The final remaining winless team in the FBS looks to finally notch its first victory in a tough road matchup on Saturday night.
The Northern Illinois Huskies (0-7, 0-3 Mountain West) have had a rough first season in the MWC. Of their seven losses this year, the only one that came by a one-score margin came against FCS Illinois State. After a blowout loss to Hawaii, the road only gets tougher with a road trip to face the UNLV Rebels (4-3, 2-1 Mountain West).
The Rebels have been a bit of a disappointment in Dan Mullen's second season. Though it looked like they got back on track with a three-game winning streak that included victories over Cal and North Dakota State, they fell on the road against Air Force two weeks ago, prior to their bye.

UNLV vs. Northern Illinois prediction, pick:
When you look into the numbers, it's not hard to see why the Huskies have been the worst team in the FBS so far this season. Both their offense and defense rank outside the top-125 nationally, and while the passing game has produced at times, Western Carolina transfer quarterback Taron Dickens has only thrown six touchdowns to five picks.
UNLV has some vulnerability on the ground, but it's hard to imagine Dickens does much against what has been one of the best pass defenses in the country. The Rebels' offense has some issues of its own, given Jackson Arnold's limitations as a passer and a struggling offensive line.
NIU won't win this game, but I think it can cover this spread against a UNLV offense that I don't really trust.
