It wasn't the prettiest performance for Kalani Sitake and BYU last week, but the coach was likely encouraged to see the Cougars battle through to earn a victory in their first non-blowout contest this season.

The Cyclones found themselves
in a wild game last week against the Mountaineers. The 45-42 victory was a thrilling one for Iowa State fans, as running back Aiden Flora threw two touchdown passes, and added three rushing scores in the historic performance. Flora gashed West Virginia time and time again, ending the day with 212 yards on the ground.
It'll be interesting to see what BYU does on the ground without Martin. We can expect mobile quarterback Bear Bachmeier to have a few more rushing attempts tonight, and can likely count on more involvement from complimentary backs like Preston Rex and Journee Tonga.
This is going to be a scary spot for BYU given the momentum Iowa State comes into this game with, but the Cougars may be playing the perfect opponent at the perfect time, as the Cyclones likely aren't going to make the Cougars pay for a compromised running back room.
