With the return of Dante Moore, Oregon has its sights set on finishing at the top of the Big Ten and leapfrogging the likes of Ohio State and Indiana in 2026. The Hoosiers were the only team that defeated the Ducks in 2025, doing it once in the regular season and once in the postseason.
Meanwhile, Boise State is looking to make a name for themselves in a remade Pac-12 conference. The Broncos finished atop the Mountain West a season ago with a 6-2 conference record and an overall 9-5 mark.

and will look to build upon the 3,565-yard, 30 passing touchdown campaign he authored a year ago. Ultimately, his stats may improve, but he will ultimately be judged on whether he leads the Ducks to a national title. Oregon has been on the doorstep for years but hasn't been able to break through.
Boise State took a bit of a step back last year, but will be anchored in 2026 by another standout running back the program has seemed to churn out. Dylan Riley finished second in the Mountain West in rushing yards last year with 1,125, while scoring 10 touchdowns on the ground.
The key to this game will be the play of quarterback Maddux Madsen, a fifth-year senior who will look to recapture the form he had in 2024. If he can limit turnovers and make a couple of plays, the Broncos should be able to cover the spread despite facing one of the best teams in the country.
