UConn head coach Dan Hurley has spent much of the offseason discussing the current economics of college basketball, and the program has now brought in someone whose primary focus will be NIL signings.
The Huskies are set to hire Charlie Stevens as their new general manager, according to reports. Hardwood Intel on X was the first to report.
Stevens has spent the past five years working with the NBA's San Antonio Spurs, and most recently served as their Director of Grassroots Scouting. He started as a basketball operations assistant for the team in 2021 before moving up the ranks.
Hurley has spokenin the past about college programs needing to embrace bringing NBA front-office personnel onto campus to help put schools in the best position to succeed
during the NIL era.

Stevens played Division III college basketball at Clark University. Stevens is a tri-state area kid, originally hailing from the Bronx, New York.
