Huskies head coach Jedd Fisch is searching for answers as his Washington team finds itself at 0-2 in Big Ten play after consecutive losses to Minnesota and USC. The frustrating thing for Washington fans is that the Huskies had chances to win both games, but came up a little short.
One positive takeaway for the Huskies from last week was a more balanced rushing attack. Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. had been responsible for moving the ball down the field with his arm and legs, but running back Brian Bonner took pressure off Williams with 89 yards on the ground. They'll need more of the same against a stingy Iowa squad.

Iowa vs. Washington prediction, pick:
The Hawkeyes are going to have some questions of their own to answer heading into this game, as quarterback Hank Brown was forcedout of last week's game against Ohio State. Iowa isn't exactly an offensive powerhouse to begin with, so expect them to lean even more heavily on their ground attack than they usually do.
Iowa is going to need to get more out of the ground game than it did last week against the Buckeyes, when Kamari Moulton rushed for just 27 yards on the afternoon. This could very well be the key to the game for both teams, as Washington will likely look to load up the box in this contest.
The over/under total for this game is very low, which is baked into the type of contests Iowa usually plays, but it's hard to see a world in which the Hawkeyes put more than 20 points on the board given what they're dealing with under center. Still, the Hawkeyes defense travels, and will give them a shot to win it at the end.
Prediction: Washington 20, Iowa 17
