The New York Jets have signed linebacker Troy Reeder to their 53-man roster.

According to SportsNet New York, Reeder was signed on Tuesday:

Reeder came to New York on Sept. 2 after he was waived by the Detroit Lions at the end of training camp. While only just signed to the 53-man roster, Reeder did play for the team last week as the Jets called him up from the practice squad. He played in 25 snaps on special teams against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.

Reeder, 32, has played for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers in his career. He won a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2021 where he started in 10 games during the regular season and three more in the playoffs.

In 107 regular

season games, the defender has totaled 338 combined tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks, 12 passes defended, three forced fumbles and two interceptions.
