Everyone understood New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn entered the 2026 campaign on the hot seat. Glenn was 3-14 in his debut 2025 campaign with the Jets. They're 2-4 in 2026 and there have been highly questionable moments that threaten his job security.
One questionable moment occurred at halftime of the Jets' Week 6 divisional loss to the New England Patriots. During a halftime interview, Glenn appeared to tell reporters he was excited for his offense to receive the ball during the third quarter. The issue? The Patriots received the first third-quarter possession after the Jets began the contest with the football.
Now there's another virtal stat going around social media that paints Coach Glenn poorly. The Jets have been outscored 100-6 during
the two-minute drill. throughout his tenure as head coach. The Jets have had a consistent two-minute problem.
The Patriots scored a nine-yard touchdown pass with 14 seconds remaining in the second quarter. Patriots kicker Andy Borregales also made a field goal with 1:14 left. Those 10 points could be positioned as the difference, as the Jets were defeated 26-19.
Unless the Jets showcase serious improvement, Glenn's job security may not survive the 2026 season. Things need to change.
