The New York Jets are gearing up to have wide receiver Tim Patrick back in the fold, it's just unclear exactly when.
On Wednesday, head coach Aaron Glenn announced Patrick has been designated to return from injured reserve.

Patrick (groin) was placed on injured reserve the day before the season began.
The team designating his potential return from injury just means Patrick's practice window is open. He sat out the required four games on injured reserve and can return to the 53-man roster at any point, however, the Jets have 21 days until a decision is required.
Patrick can stay on injured reserve for the next 21 days but then he has to be placed on the team's roster or else he reverts to IR for the rest
of the 2026 season.
With injury also hitting first-round rookie receiver Omar Cooper Jr., who is also on injured reserve, Patrick could provide needed depth for the Jets.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 NFL season.
