The New York Jets (1-1) had to feel good about themselves following last week's win over the Tennessee Titans, especially with how important it is to get off to a good start in the NFL.
New York had a tougher test this week with Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers (1-1) visiting MetLife Stadium on Sunday, but the Jets did not close the deal.
The Jets lost to the Packers 20-17 in overtime despite scoring 10 unanswered points towards the end of the game that had Green Bay needing to press in order to get back into the contest. Quarterback Geno Smith had a solid performance as he completed 27 of his 41 passes for 247 yards (6.0 yards per completion) and one touchdown, but he did not get much help from the running game.
Running back Breece Hall received
16 of New York's 27 carries, but was only able to gain 29 yards as the leading rusher, showing how tough it was for the Jets to run the football against the Packers. In the end, missed opportunities and penalties put New York behind the eight-ball and it allowed Green Bay to end the game with a field-goal.

Stock Up: QB Geno Smith
When the Jets brought Smith in via trade, the goal was to ensure that the team would have someone that can steady the ship for a team full of young players that have to make plays. Sunday's game against the Packers was a prime example of Smith's calming presence and while New York lost, losing a game on the margins is an improvement from last season when the Jets weren't close to winning most games.
Stock Neutral: RB Breece Hall
As mentioned above, Hall did not have any success running the football and that went for everyone aside from wide receiver Isaiah Williams who took his lone rushing attempt for 14 yards. However, one of the bright spots for a running back like Hall is that he's able to have an impact on a game other than his rushing and his five catches for 63 yards are a testament to that.
Stock Up: LB Jamien Sherwood
In terms of points, the Jets' defense ended up on the wrong side of things, but they did their part to limit one of the better offenses in the league in the Packers. Jamien Sherwood is one of the reasons why as he was all over the field and did his part by being disruptive in rushing situations while also displaying his ability to get out in pass coverage without being a liability.
Stock Down: CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
The Packers did not exactly have a field day passing the football and players like Brownlee should be given credit for making things tough on Packers quarterback Jordan Love, especially in the second half. However, with the Jets needing to stop beating themselves, Brownlee picked up a crucial unnecessary roughness penalty that essentially could have been the difference between New York losing this game instead of walking away with a tie.
Stock Up: WR Adonai Mitchell
In terms of raw yardage, Mitchell had a similar game to what he had last week in New York's win over the Titans, but on Sunday, he was more involved with the passing game needing to carry more of the burden. Mitchell did not rip a big play like he did against Tennessee, but when Garrett Wilson is seeing double coverage, the former Indianapolis Colts receiver will have to be able to work in the short and intermediate areas of the field like he did against the Packers.
Stock Down: TE Kenyon Sadiq
In all fairness to Sadiq, the rookie had a similar kind of day through the air as he gained 21 yards on his receptions last week while gaining 17 on Sunday against the Packers. If Sadiq was able to score a touchdown against Green Bay, it's possible that he would still end up in this entry because more should be expected of the talented first-rounder, especially in games where Smith is throwing the football 41 times.
