New York Jets 2026 NFL training camp is underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day. Especially with it being a make-or-break season for head coach Aaron Glenn as he enters his second season at the helm.
Throughout practices each day, updates are shared during the workouts which become intriguing and important notes.
In terms of Day 8 of training camp, what stood out the most?
Here are Jets Wire's three observations from the eighth day of training camp:
Bailey injury scare
Take a deep breath, but the Jets' top rookie in David Bailey left practice with an injury on Day 8. However, we have completely good news as head coach Aaron Glenn said he is OK. It is still something to keep in mind going forward.

Offense struggles in scrimmage setting
According to various reports including SNY, the Jets offense starting a scrimmage/ team drills portion of practice by going the entire distance of the field to score a touchdown. From there, the starting owned the day. Quarterback Geno Smith has shown plenty of positives, but Saturday showed the Jets offense is not perfect:
Geno Smith went 12 for 120 for 157 yards and 1 TD.

Aaron Glenn sent his offense out again. 1st and goal at the 10. Starters vs starters.

Glenn then took his offense off the field.
I take back my fun comment I’m sorry.
Another Isaiah highlight
What might be as close to perfect as possible at Jets camp is wide receiver Isaiah Williams. It's hard to envision him not seeing playing time next season as of now. Not only has he been consistent, check out this highlight reel play:
