The New York jets are nearing their Week 6 matchup against the New England Patriots on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
We know where the Jets land in power rankings ahead of their next game. Now, how about where NFL analysts across the media landscape have ranked their upcoming opponent in the Patriots?
Here is Jets Wire's roundup of national media power rankings for their next opponent, the Pats, heading into Week 6:
USA TODAY
6. New England Patriots (7): QB Drake Maye has seemingly recaptured his MVP-caliber form the past two weeks after a very rough September. Might he even go to another level given WR A.J. Brown could be back as soon as Sunday against the Jets?

9. Patriots (No. 13; 3-2): The patriotic pigeons had a field day on Tom Brady’s statue.

Sunday: Beat Raiders 45-17
Who have you beaten? Steelers, Bills, Raiders
Drake Maye played arguably the best game of his career, totaling 403 yards of total offense (excluding kneeldowns) and five touchdowns in the Patriots’ domination of the Raiders. And that was with a lengthy injury report. Think of what this team will look like when it gets healthy and Maye has A.J. Brown to throw to.

Last Week: 14
Week 5 Result: Won vs. Las Vegas 45-17
After a suspect start to the season, the New England Patriots have found their way and again look like the team that represented the AFC in last season's Super Bowl.
A win against the Buffalo Bills proved an impressive turnaround after being trounced by the Jacksonville Jaguars. A letdown could have occurred after an important win over a division rival. Instead, the Patriots responded with a dominant victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Drake Maye's about-face after a horrific start to the campaign shows how resilient the 24-year-old quarterback is. The third-year signal-caller established new season highs Sunday with 374 passing yards and four touchdown passes. More importantly, he didn't turn the ball over for the first time this season.

13. Super Bowl odds: +2000 (tied for ninth-best)
The Patriots are such a different team when Drake Maye is playing like Drake Maye. In the first three games of the season, Maye threw just one touchdown pass with six interceptions and averaged 195 passing yards per contest. But in the last two games — both wins — he’s had seven touchdown passes, one interception with an impressive 321.5 passing yards per game.
And with him rolling, their running game was suddenly working, too. It’s no wonder that they made quick work of the upstart Raiders. And with the Jets and Dolphins coming up in their next three games, they’ve got a shot to get on a little bit of a roll now, too.

Biggest issue on defense: Cornerback depth
They played with only three healthy CBs on Sunday, as starters Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and Carlton Davis III (neck) were inactive, and rookie backups Karon Prunty and Channing Canada were unavailable because of hamstring injuries. When fill-in starter Charles Woods left the game in the second half because of a shoulder injury, it further thinned a perilous CB situation, leaving just Marcus Jones and Kindle Vildor as available options. New England has allowed a 66% completion rate this season, which ranks 25th in the NFL.
