The New York Jets finished their Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns with their heads held high, taking a 17-12 win.
On the field, the Jets (2-3) looked the part of a winning team. How about off the field after the film has been broken down by NFL analysts across the media landscape?
Here is Jets Wire's roundup of national media power rankings polls following Week 5 and heading into Week 6:
USA TODAY
21. New York Jets (28): OLB David Bailey is real, and he's spectacular … even if No. 31 is a really weird choice for a pass rusher.
Pro Football Talk
26. Jets (No. 28; 2-3): Geno Smith has gone from leading the league in interceptions to throwing none.
The Athletic
Sunday: Beat Browns 17-12
Who have you beaten? Titans, Browns
OK, that pair of wins isn’t particularly impressive, but New York’s
defense on Sunday was impressive, with the Jets holding Cleveland to 198 yards of offense. No. 2 pick David Bailey looks like a beast, notching three sacks in the race for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

24. New York Jets (2-3)
Last Week: 26
Week 5 Result: Won vs. Cleveland 17-12
Two wins through five weeks of play nearly equals all of last season's success. The New York Jets are competitive again. Significant talent can be found throughout the roster. However, this year's second overall draft pick, David Bailey, stole the show Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Bailey officially announced his NFL arrival with three sacks and four quarterback hits. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Bailey leads all rookies in pressures (26) and quick pressures (nine) generated.
The Jets have enough young talent and Geno Smith playing well at quarterback to be a difficult opponent for anyone as this season progresses. An above-.500 record isn't out of the equation either. If it doesn't happen, the team has a big offseason ahead of it, with the potential to add significantly more high-level talent, as it did with Bailey.

25. Jets (+4)
It wasn't pretty, but they found a way in beating the Browns. The pass rush was dominant against Cleveland with eight sacks.

The Jets are exactly who I told you they would be: A more competitive, more professional team that is capable of beating weak teams and mostly incapable of getting over the hump against strong ones. That’s how they got to 2-3 with wins over the Titans and now the Browns.
Head coach Aaron Glenn’s team does play good defense, WR Garrett Wilson is a star and their offensive line can help them ground out a running game no matter who is in the backfield.
Winning games? Just like we said with the Dolphins, New York gets Miami twice in a short span soon. Someone has to win those games, right?

Stat To Know: The Jets' win over the Browns was their first home win since Week 13 of last season.

Biggest issue on defense: Interceptions are rare
The frequency is roughly the same as a term in the House of Representatives: every two years. The Jets have intercepted only one pass in the past 22 games, with safety Minkah Fitzpatrick ending a historic 20-game drought in last week's loss to the Bears. On Sunday, he had a chance to make it two games in a row, but he dropped a would-be pick. The Jets are playing more zone than man-to-man this season, which makes the low total even more perplexing. The Cowboys are the only team with zero interceptions.
