The New York Jets lost another one-score game to the Las Vegas Raiders.
In Week 8, the Raiders (4-4) held on for the 38-33 win over the Jets (2-6). For the fifth time this season, the game was within reach for New York but they came up short. It's the most frusrating way to lose and the Jets know it.
"I can sit here and talk about how close we are, but that's not going to do us any good at all," head coach Aaron Glenn said.
At the end, the Jets had a shot at the Raiders' end zone. Quarterback Geno Smith was intercepted instead.
Wide receiver Garrett Wilson did only catch six of 12 targets but he did have 83 yards.
Wilson was still among those searching for answers about losing another tight game after the defeat.
"The margins are that slim. You can't
afford to leave a play out there," Wilson said.
