New York Jets 2026 NFL training camp is underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day. Especially with it being a make-or-break season for head coach Aaron Glenn as he enters his second season at the helm.
Throughout practices each day, updates are shared during the workouts which become intriguing and important notes.
In terms of Day 5 of training camp, what stood out the most?
Here are Jets Wire's three observations from the fifth day of training camp:
A 180 for Sadiq
Unfortunate news for first-round rookie pick Kenyon Sadiq. The tight end had his recovery from hernia surgery downplayed on Monday. Then on Day 5, head coach Aaron Glenn said there was a "setback" for Sadiq.
Here is what head coach Aaron Glenn said on the matter:
Bailey's not perfect and Breece is good
Another top rookie
for the Jets is David Bailey. The pass rusher has gotten plenty of praise during training camp so far.
But here is good and bad on one play. It was nice to see running back Breece Hall make a play, but Bailey over-pursuing on the play by Bailey is what went wrong.

Sherwood makes another INT happen
Less interceptions from quarterback Geno Smith, please.
Smith only had one on Tuesday, which is fine. But let's focus on the positives: linebacker Jamien Sherwood tipped it and cornerback Brandon Stephens grabbed it:
