The New York Jets fanbase had some critics of head coach Aaron Glenn following the team's loss to the Green Bay Packers.
On the field, the players let themselves down in the fourth quarter as the Packers (1-1) rolled back with the Jets up 17-7 in Week 2 to win 20-17 in overtime
But Glenn might not have helped them on a few occasions.
At the end of regulation, Glenn opted to not take a timeout to get the ball back with nearly a minute left. Instead, time ran out but that was an opportunity that most believe Glenn let go by the wayside.
Then the Jets won the overtime coin toss and decided to receive the ball.
Regulation ended with Gang Green's defense performing well. Glenn's logic was to try and put pressure on the Packers with his offense in overtime
but that did not happen in ugly fashion.
Hindsight is 20/20 after the game ends, but when the offense only moved backward, it's reasonable to understand why onlookers could've thought the Jets would have a chance to put pressure Green Bay with a defensive stop even before it all went downhill. They played well.
"It was tough," Glenn said. "I want to go try to win the game."
Not to mention, the Jets offense was stuffed on a fourth-down attempt with two minutes left in the game and the defense bailed them out.
