The New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a scary scene unfold during their joint practice in New Jersey prior to their preseason matchup on Friday.
A player collapsed on the Jets' sideline who ended up being cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers and he was stretchered off the practice field and was taken to a local hospital.
According to New York head coach Aaron Glenn, Stiggers had passed out but regained consciousness and was able to talk.

CB Qwan’tez Stiggers was the player taken away by ambulance. Jets coach Aaron Glenn said he passed out on the sidelines, but was conscious and talking on his way to a local hospital.

Glenn said "for the most part" Stiggers is OK. The coach added that Stiggers had simply come to his team's sideline after a play during the joint practice and the incident occurred.
Stiggers has been in New York since being a fifth-round pick at the 2024 NFL Draft. Stiggers has appeared in 29 games for the Jets over the past two seasons, making five starts. Of those, four were last season and Stiggers defended three passes in those contests.
