The New York Jets will take that win to start their 2026 NFL regular season which will hopefully end their postseason drought.
The Jets visited the Tennessee Titans for a Week 1 clash against the team led by their own ex-head coach, Robert Saleh. In a 23-10 victory, New York likely won't miss Saleh following that one.
The Jets offense didn't look perfect, but their effort went according to script.
More points could've been had, but Gang Green's unit looked much more balanced with a higher floor. That led to those 23 points, and in other outings, their efforts might result in even more points from the unit now led by quarterback Geno Smith once again.
Defensively, the Jets are still looking for that interception that has escaped them for more than
a season now. Even so, there will be no complaints. The Jets' pass rush led by top draft pick David Bailey made Titans quarterback Cam Ward look like a rookie once again.
