The NFL trade deadline is less than a week away, and eyes are on the New York Jets and whether they're buyers and/or sellers ahead of the Nov. 10 cutoff.
With the Jets sitting at 2-6 with the trade deadline on deck, the indication among NFL insiders is that New York will be sellers. Much of that has to do with a year ago.
At that time, general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn got big returns for trading away cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. This year, players on offense such as wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall have seen their names in trade rumors.
Below, Jets Wire will track the latest news and rumors around the Jets at the trade deadline:

Report: Wright open to Bears
Cornerback Nahshon Wright is reportedly
"frustrated" with his lack of playing time with the Jets after signing in New York this offseason, putting his name in trade speculation. According to our friends at Bears Wire, Wright would be open to being traded to Chicago, the last team he played for:
A person with direct knowledge of Nahshon Wright's wishes tells Bears Wire heβd welcome a trade to the Bears. Wright flourished in Chicago last year under the tutelage of defensive backs coach Al Harris, totaling 80 tackles (three for loss), five interceptions, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. He earned Pro Bowl honors last year for the first time in his career and signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal worth up to $5 million with the Jets in the offseason.
Report: NFL insider 'would be surprise' if Jets move Breece Hall
ESPN NFL insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano both dished their thoughts on the Jets at the deadline. Both would be surprised if running Breece Hall is moved.
Fowler:
I would be surprised if the Jets moved running back Breece Hall or other major players based on conversations this week. The Jets do not appear to be in the mode to deal talent. They also know running backs get hurt, which is why having Braelon Allen and Hall together isn't a terrible thing. Perhaps a major offer changes things, but I don't have the Jets pegged as major movers despite the 2-6 record.
The Jets were in position to stockpile at last year's deadline, sitting at 1-7 with a transitional roster. This roster is much more promising now -- it's sneaky loaded on offense, in fact -- and New York is much closer to competing. Rival teams I've spoken to believe the Jets will try to snag a few wins as opposed to dealing players.
Graziano:
The Jets are one team people had their eye on going into last weekend, wondering if another loss would push them to talk about trading players for picks. But as of right now, the Jets project to have three top-10 picks in next year's draft, so they aren't exactly in dire need of draft capital. But if they get a good offer for someone like edge rusher Will McDonald IV, who is signed through 2027 on a $14.475 million fifth-year option, I believe they'd listen. But like you, I don't get the sense that they want to trade Hall.
